Did you know your air conditioner operates whenever defrost is used?
For most of us here in the Puget Sound region, switching on the air conditioner is a rare occasion. We do, however, use our defrosters, and air conditioning is an important part of that system. The AC actually works by removing moisture (on a hot day we call it humidity) out of the air in the passenger compartment.
Maintaining your air conditioning system is fairly simple. Many vehicles have a serviceable filter that needs to be changed every 15-30,000 miles (depending on the application). Regular inspections are performed at specific mileage intervals as well.
At Quality Auto & Electric, we are equipped to service and repair both R-12 and R134a systems. Our Technicians are trained and certified by the EPA to safely handle freon. Our services range from leak detection and diagnosis to compressors and retrofits.
